New updates to Tidal Trail web site

Welcome back to the Tidal Delaware Water Trail web site. Take a look at the latest upgrades:

The video flyover of the Delaware River provides an eagle-eye tour of the entire river. From the industrial shores of Marcus Hook, past the bustling Philadelphia waterfront to the freshwater wetlands further upstream, it's a trip up the tidal Delaware River without getting wet.

Events calendar - check out upcoming events on the river. See when you can join a paddle, head to a riverfront festival, or participate in stewardship/clean up events. If you or your organization has an event to promote, you can list them here too!

Blog - share your river stories! Do you know a great place to fish? A new amusement along the river? The best time to ride the tide? Share stories of your experience along the river with others!

Photos - Photos are posted to blogs and on Picasa. Check out some cool places to see along the Tidal Delaware River. Share your photos with us too!

Tidal Delaware Water Trail geocache

The first Tidal Delaware Water Trail geocache has been placed! Geocaching is one of the fastest growing sports. Players use GPS units to help locate caches (boxes) in hidden locations across the country (with many in Southern PA and NJ).

This geocache treasure is located in Palmyra Cove Nature Park, a park along the Delaware River near the Tacony/Palmyra Bridge. Those who locate it will find a log book to sign, copies of the Tidal Delaware Water Trail maps, and the first 10 people who find the cache will get a free one-year membership to the Pennsylvania Environmental Council!

Want to find the cache? OR want more information about geocaching and how to do it? Visit www.geocaching.com to learn all the details!

Thanks to Frodo Underhill and the South Jersey Geocachers for help placing this cache.
